The SunshineS Skyway Bridge

Bridge connects Pinellas County with Braedenton,  Sarasota, etc.

A little scary to drive over, such an open space over the water, but it ain't #9!

4.1 Miles.  A little irritated that there is no bike/pedestrian lane so I could not ride across!

Cool.  They made fishing piers on either end from the old bridge!

The Bamboo Beach Bar, formerly the Bamboo Beer Garden, Treasure Island, Florida

Always a "must" stop at John's Pass.  Used to be the Bamboo Beer Garden. The new owners have cleaned it up a lot, so it has lost some of it's former "charm", if you'd call it that, but still a great place to go have a cold beer-as long as you are not looking for a craft beer!

White Caps on the Gulf of Mexico

 Not often you see white caps on the Gulf unless there is a storm out there. 

It was much fun to play in the waves like this!

 Look closely-two girls, walking along the  surf, both clutching their cell phones!  Did the forget they were at the beach???

And what the "wade" to the beach looks like after a torrential downpour!

People actually stopped and faced the music during the national anthem.  Proud of 'em!
