North Georgia, July 2014, Day 2: Black Rock Mountain State Park

On day two we hiked the Tennessee Rock Trail and reached the summit of Black Rock Mountain.  The vista photos that follow are some yards down the trail.

Jackie & Tammy, great hikers!

Bear's den???

Resident native, very small.  Glad momma was not around!

Native flora.  A day lily of some sort I am told.

North Georgia "mini vacation" with Tammy, July 2014

Somewhere in the North Georgia woods!

Stonewall Creek Vineyard.  Beautiful.  The smallest
of North Georgia Vineyards.

In the middle of nowhere, we discovered Peter Dietrich's wood spirits.

At The Mark of the Potter

Trout, trout and more trout in a pool.

NO FISHING!!!

HIKING THE  RIM OF THE TALLULAH FALLS GORGE.

NO, we did NOT hike down to this bridge!

This is the very approximate site where I slept in the parking lot of the Tallulah Falls State park the night before our incredible raft trip down the Chattooga river sometime in the '90s!  I don't think I have ever seen so many stars in the night sky.
