Zoo Atlanta December 2015

There is nothing much better for a Zoo Atlanta visit than getting there late in the day when most folks are already gone and the animals are outside, waiting for dinner!  We probably have 2K photos of Pandas, and here are just a few more.

The Lion Cub triplets we have watched since they were babies.  It has been really neat to see them grow into young juvenile lions.  They still play, chasing each other around the yard, and they still look regal.

There are a few other characters' photos too.
I love bamboo!!

Poppa bear snoozing.

Oops! No shrimp in your diet?

This young otter was a hoot and put on a show for us, posing, running, swimming.

 The brothers and sister three.
You KNOW it is my dinner time!!
Where is my dinner???

Looking over their domaine.

Yes, I am King of the Beast!  (Well, I will be when I grow up!)

Relative of the Racoon family.

I will think of the kind of bear later.  They are messy, whatever the brand!

I thought his tail was a snake at first!

Max Ptach, Madison County NC

We had never been to Max Patch-and may not go again!, But the views are magnificent!  Jackie and I and our good friends Suzie and Glenn made the trip to Hot Springs for lunch and visiting friends at Bluff Mountain Outfitters and then on to Max Patch.
Jackie is waiting on me-several times!

I was out of shape for this climb! Suzie and Glenn moving on up!

One of the top five raft guides in the world, my good friend Glenn Goodrich.

The road down (and up too going the other direction!)  A beautiful fall day.
Long, long dirt road!

Jackie's Dahlias 2015

Jackie bought some new breeds this year and they are beautiful!
Hi, there, Mr. Daddy Long Legs!
