The End of the Retaining Wall

Fernando and Leo finished this the second day-a 12 hour effort.  Looks good.  I will install a drain pipe today, hopefully.  Thanks, Walt, for the fabric that covers the drain!  We shall remain vigilant to see if the snake the fellows saw was a Copperhead or a Corn snake.

Retaining Wall #2-without Paul; lucky him!

Started the rest of the retaining wall yesterday.  Fernando and Leo did the work, I did the watching....

A Taste of Heaven! Fresh Tequila!

Visited what is surely to be a top tourists attraction just on the northern border of Valladolid-a Mayapan distillery (Jalisco owns the patent on the word Tequila!). The blue aguave is organically grown-no fertilizers used. Plant is then smoked for three days, then crushed, then allowed to ferment, and then pure, smokey tequila-excuse me, Mayapan!

Colorado, November 2011

So, why don't we go to Breckenridge instead of MI?  It wont be as cold there!
Let's see, the a.m. temp. was usually around 4 degrees!  But the craft beers were good and we enjoyed the Blue River Bistro most.

Sunrise at Hilton Head, etc.

Welcome back to your blog, Andrew!
Most recently, we spent a little time at Hilton Head Island.  Our favorite things to do there are (1) ride our bikes on the great bike routes, and (2) cook fresh sea food at night that we get at Hudson's Seafood Market on Squire Pope Road.
And there is always a nice sunrise:
