New Orphan at Our House

UPDATE ON THE ORPHAN: He has now been
"fixed" and ready for a new home. We will split the cost of the surgery/shots with new owners. Should be about $50.

About two weeks ago some unkind, abusive, irresponsible sort dumped this beautiful, young what looks very much like a Maine Coon kitty at our house. They must have known....Anyway, full of knotted fur, he has assumed control of the house, with the exception of the alpha cat, Smokin'!
He's tested negative for feline lukemia, so next week will probably see the surgeon. Friend of ours really wants the kitty, and can have him, soon as he finds a suitable litter box and/or place for it.
Name this kitty!

Ignorance really is bliss

I've been ignoring myself recently and not looking after my blog since the summer harvest! BMc was wondering what has been happening! Went to CO again in October of '07 for a week-cheap airline tickets the key. Some photos to follow.

Regular gang for NYEve at my house-relatives!

Staged another Collard Festival in February. Have not had once since the onslaught of cancer two years back. Great folks, great time. Photos to follow (they're on another pc!)

It is ACC tournament time-GO HEELS!

Harvest for today, 9-11-07

In remembering those who lost their lives six years ago today, it is appropriate to be thankful for our bountiful harvest and consider the value of our own life, to ourself and others.

The bridge as art. This is a part of the new bridge from St. Pete to Treasure Island. There are ceramic tiles on every post of the bridge. And it is no longer a toll bridge.

This is the lot across the street from "our place". We used to play miniature golf here. Guess not any more!

Spent last week in St. Petersburg, FL. The Renaissance Vinoy is great, and so is life at the condo!
Did some biking on the Pinellas Trail, to include breakfast at Opa!'s in Tarpon Springs (Greek omletes as they should be.), and ate some fine seafood out as well as grilling some at home.
Young man and the sea. Caught some sea trout. This is her cousin from Knoxville.

Porpoises at Fort Desoto. They were plentiful, and no fee to ride the Dolphin boat! Fort Desoto is a beautiful place.

On the Pinellas Bike Trail, at, as you can see, Seminole, FL.
